Borgo Padova, one of Cittadella’s four historic access routes, originally connected the fortified city to Padua as a strategic 13th-century road. Recently, a revitalization project funded by the PNRR and Next Generation EU has reimagined the area. REISARCHITETTURA led the design, enhancing pedestrian and cycling spaces by narrowing the roadway and upgrading public areas, paving, and lighting. The project includes two squares with stone benches and greenery, with a unique use of porphyry paving in varied patterns. Sidewalks, bike lanes, and historical trachyte curbs define a renewed, pedestrian-friendly space, while new lighting and barriers secure the bike lane from traffic..
